  • White (difference: amount of cocoa butter, sugar, milk, vanilla), milk, dark, unsweetened 
  • (+) anti-depressant, esp dark chocolate --> excellent source of catechins (polyphenols of the flavanol groups - believed to protect against heart disease.)
    Said - darker the chocolate, more beneficial. --> Dark chocolate - contains only cocoa butter - a fat that naturally occurs in cocoa beans, made up of stearic acid, oleic acid and palmitic acids. --> cocoa does not raise LDL cholesterol.
  • (-) Chocolate -> calorie-dense. -> large portions --> weight gain and increase risk of heart disease.
